This paper presents a project description. The aim of my project is to gain more insight into the process of mapping visual representations into linguistic representations. In an empirical investigation I will examine a) spontaneous descriptions of a picture, and b) spontaneous descriptions of visual events in film sequences. The key ques-tion will be the correlation between patterns in our visual perception and patterns in our spoken language production.
