Abstract: In my paper, I will not unfold all the
dimensions of cognition that live alongside with the logics
dimension. Instead I will very briefly describe the
dimensional object representation proposed by Ewald Lang,
which draws on human perception of proportion and
orientation. I will argue that Lang's model - having a high
descriptive power - could be revised to cope with a larger
variety of semantic objects. In the second half of the
paper, I will illustrate the importance of the attentional
mechanism on dimensions as used in actual discourse. The
article is meant to examplify cognitive research on
dimensions, hopefully inspiring someone to take up the
thread.
