Abstract: Learning theory is, among other things, the
study of the truth-conduciveness of methodological
principles. AGM-methodology, on the other hand, seeks to
minimize the damage done to ones belief set in light of new
information. Hence, AGM-methodology may be seen as an
attempt to minimize mutilation while remaining on the truth
track. This paper attempts to explain how this in general is
possible taking the standard definition of knowledge as an
example.
