Abstract: Peter Gärdenfors has argued that states
of full belief or certainty ought to be derived from states
of credal probability judgment. I argue that when speaking
of change of view, states of full belief ought to be able to
vary separately from probability judgment. I explain how
resorting to confirmational commitments enables us to
represent credal states as determined by two separably
variable components.
