New analytical model for e-sports predicts who is winning – and why

Tobias Mahlmann at LUCS has together with research colleagues Matthias Schubert at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität in Germany and Anders Drachen at Aalborg University in Denmark developed a new analytical model for e-sports. The model not only helps game developers better understand how players perform, but can also predict the outcome of the game. The game Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) was used to help develop a new analytical e-sports model, which can be used to generate detailed statistics about the players’ performances. >> Read more at: Lund University News
